Central Billing Office Manager – Multi-Clinic Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery Group
Golden State Dermatology is seeking a leader to create and manage a Central Billing Office (CBO) to deliver best in class billing to its rapidly growing organization. Reporting to the Vice President - Operations, the manager is responsible for all aspects of the revenue cycle. The CBO Manager partners with office managers to coordinate charge capture and collections, serves as a key member of the management team, and will interact with the Senior Leadership Team and members of the Board of Directors. GSD is an entrepreneurial environment, so the right person will be comfortable with a fast pace, flexible / adaptable,and willing to rollup his / her sleeves to complete deliverables.
Collaborates with local offices to ensure robust registration, eligibility, charge capture and collections.
Establishes systems to assure that all charges and payments are imported / entered into the practice management system in timely and accurate fashion.
Creates systems to minimize and eliminate manual data entry by converting to automated charge capture from the electronic medical record (EMA).
Develops and adheres to company collections policies.
Reviews daily activity of all clinics. Ascertains that daily bank deposits, (cash, checks, credit cards, EFTs,) balance to payment activity posted in the practice management systems.
Sets performance targets for Central Billing Office Staff and create ongoing reporting and performance improvement goals.
Provide collection targets and monitor employees for performance against standards. Implement corrective or modified measures when necessary.
Prepares and presents billing performance reports to GSD management monthly.
Develops trust and a good working relationship with the providers by effectively answering questions and sharing updates.
Maintains relationships with payers, insurance company representatives, local government payer representatives, etc.
Maintain master fee schedule, updating annually and as needed.
Creates a positive environment for staff that leads to high performance and retention.
Reviews staffing needs, develops business rationale for new staff and recruits new staff.
Prepares Month-end package to send to accounting.
Generates Sales Tax report from practice management reporting system quarterly, and conveys to accounting for preparation of sales tax returns.
Expertise in all facets of the revenue cycle
Experience in office based medical billing.
Experience in the following a plus: Dermatology, eClinicalWorks, multi-office organizations with centralized billing.
Experience leading a team to achieve results, the ability to engage, energize and motivate others
Ability to partner well with others (providers, office managers, payers, consultants, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to lead change
